TREE FROGS

AGES 4-6

Forest School at Holliday Park is White Pine’s 2021 expansion of Forest School for 4-6 year old Tree Frogs. Our amazing curriculum will be implemented in the beautiful woods, hills, creeks, ravines, and along the shoreline at one of Indianapolis' oldest and best city parks. And we are so excited to offer four days a week Tree Frogs this year! With drop off and pick up located at Holliday Park.

We are partnering with the amazing park management team at Holliday Park and renting fenced-in space that will be White Pine's special area to use as a basecamp for utilizing the whole 94 acres of beautiful green-space at the park. This is an incredible opportunity to connect your little ones to Mother Nature on amazingly cared-for public lands.

Pawpaw trees, nettle, crawdads, sunfish, turtles, red-tailed hawks, burdock, skunk cabbage, dogwood trees, and so much more to discover there!!

Forest school is outside 99% of the time, with students only going inside in the case of restroom breaks, extreme heat or cold, or severe weather threats. Our partnership with Holliday Park means that the tuition for the program goes towards White Pine's special access to our exclusive basecamp, emergency storm shelters, as well as potable water and year-round restrooms within the CCC buildings at Holliday Park. 
Students are required to provide their own sack lunches, with no refrigeration, no reheating, and no boiling water requirements. 
White Pine students will spend their days on explorations throughout Holliday Park as we exercise key components of our curriculum--nature connection, free play, social/emotional learning, resilience, self-empowerment, and more! Practiced core routines are crafting, sit spot, scouting, free play, tracking, foraging, plant identification, storytelling, fire-starting, and so much more.
